My hydrangeas and phlox still bring happy smiles even in this August heat

My front gardens today - they fared much better during "vacation neglect".

    We have all suffered from this bloody heat. I hope it begins to cool down. I am thinking of trying hydrangea again. I am going to plant it here at summer's end, hoping that it will winter over.
